Some of you might know Ladu (or also Laddoo) already as a typical Indian sweet. In India this sweet is omnipresent and given especially during religious ceremonies but also to other celebrations. There are many, many different recipes out there but basically Ladus are sweet chestnut-big balls made out of flour, sugar and different spices.
For Christmas I prepared Ladus for my family and changed the recipe a bit to the all loved Christmas flavour. My darlings just loved it!
Ingredients for 1 portion:
100 g Ghee (Indian clarified butter)
1 package “Santulan Ladu Mix” (200 g)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation:
  1. Warm up the Ghee so it can be formed easier (you can buy ready made Ghee or do it yourself)
  2. Put all ingredients together in a bowl and mix them
  3. With your hands form the pastry in chestnut-big balls
  4. Serve to (e.g.) tea and enjoy!
